Cover design for the album Bubuashie by Slim Bentil and Edinam Kuwodor (ca. 1970)

An artist’s impression of a local market scene in Ghana where women sell such items as pepper, onions, ginger and salt. Bubuashie is one of such open air markets in Accra, the capital of Ghana. Artists graduating from the School of Art at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi brought their young artistic creations to reflect on album sleeves of the 1970’s and 1980’s. Above is one of the work of two such artists, Edinam Kudowor (Wiz Kid) and Slim Bentil.
