Sonia Sheridan and her students would often launch a process using a variety of technologies in order to finish by generating images representing their combined, simultaneous actions. For example, Philip Meany, one of the students enroled in the Generative Systems program in 1970, operated the Color-in-Color photocopier together with the PolaroId camera (e). Sometimes, hybridity manifested itself by combining paper from one device with processing powders and solutions designed for another (such as microfilm sprinkled with silver oxide particles or C-in-C powder used in the VQC) (c).
