This competition, which celebrated the collaborative efforts of engineers and artists, was organized jointly with The Machine As Seen at the End of the Mechanical Age, an exhibition held in 1968 at the Museum of Modern Art (New York, U.S.). In 1969, E.A.T. followed up with Some More Beginnings: An Exhibition of Submitted Works Involving Technical Materials and Processes at the Brooklyn Museum (New York, U.S.), an exhibition that brought together 140 proposals presented by the participating artists and engineers.
