Eric, a student in information science, feels very self conscious and almost like he is having to perform (this is a combination of the artwork and the effect of the research). There are children playing with the toys at the same time and Eric is very conscious of the people around him. He does not work out the interactivity of the work but spends a great deal of time arranging objects thoughtfully on the podium. He reflects on the reasons why he selects certain objects - describing his desire to communicate certain things to those around him.
