Rodolfo Coelho de Souza (Brésil)

Rodolfo Coelho de Souza (born in 1952) studied composition with Olivier Toni, Cláudio Santoro and Conrado Silva. He earned a Master's degree from the University of São Paulo and a DMA in composition from the University of Texas at Austin.

Currently he his professor of composition and computer music technology at Universidade Federal do Paraná (Parana Federal University). In 2002 a CD of his music for instruments and electronic sounds featuring the Concerto for Computer and Orchestra performed by the Orquestra Sinfônica do Paraná was released. He was Vice-President for Americas of ICMA - International Computer Music Association.

Among other works he composed: "Diálogos" for tape, and "Metrópolis", both pieces in 1990; "O que acontece embaixo da cama enquanto Janis esta dormindo?" In 1997; "Concerto para Computador e Orquestra" from 2000; "Clariagua" for clarinet and tape; "Colorless Green Ideas Sleep Furiously" for piano and tape; and "The Book of Sounds III: Cuica", electroacoustic music.
